Christmas Tree Factory

PLAY BUTTON:

It’s 1934 and it’s time for the magnificent Soviet Union to make Christmas Trees for the world. Produced by the USSR Cinema Propaganda Segment and meant to act as a peace offering, the lack of any funding for film meant non-Russian speakers were left to create their own meaning amongst the terrifying imagery, loud booming music, and shouting directly at the camera. The peace offering failed and the USSR Cinema Propaganda Segment’s entire budget was redirected to the Kremlin.
