Slider Gallon

The heart warming tale of a down-on-his luck college sports equipment manager Slider Gallon who is discovered to be really good at golf. His mentor (played by Malcolm McDowell until he got sick halfway through filming and they went with with Andie MacDowell because the casting director thought Andie was a boy and related to Malcolm) is the crotchety old Scottish golf coach who has lost his way and family in pursuit of “the perfect stroke.” (He does have two strokes: of genius, and a heart attack).
